The Next GenerationStaringLei
General Information Name: Lei (not pronounced: lee, laai, lhy, layee) Age: 6 Months (Cub) Gender: Male Species: Snow Leopard Alliance: Neutral
Personality Being the more introvert cub of the nest he wasn’t one to start playing, but he did enjoy it whenever his brothers played with him. They often fooled him because he was so naïve. Being observant and patient did make him a better hunter then his enthusiastic brothers, them often causing their chase to take longer or fail because they charged too quickly. He would never approach a stranger, but he would observe from afar when he’s intrigued or curious. Other then being the kind, naïve, introvert cub he has his pride and is fully aware of his good qualities.
Appearance Unlike the more endangered snow leopard, Chinese snow leopards are known not to be as snow white as those in other regions and differ lightly in spots as well. Lei has dark blue eyes and will grow up to have less fur then he would have had in his natural habitat, because of the heat in Afrika.
History Once three months old his mother started teaching him and his two brothers Shei and Feng how to hunt. And as the days passed they became better and better, but there was one rule: Don’t go too far down the mountain. Far down the mountains lived a human civilization, not a place where wild animals can safely walk about. For every household possessed weapons because of the battles that often occurred. But one day things went horribly wrong.
Determined to catch a wild deer Lei, Shei and Feng chased it far down the mountain. They managed to catch and eat it next to a mountain path, but when a shadow approached Shei and Feng ran for it. One moment Lei was enjoying his freshly caught deer, the next thing he knew he woke up in a cage in the dark. He was being flown to Europe to be sold to a circus, seeing he was only 4 months old it was still possible to tame him. However, the got off track in a terrible storm and eventually had to land when the fuel was almost out. The Chinese tradesman decided to save his life rather then dying trying to make a lot of money, and released the heavy loads off his small aircraft into the wilds of Afrika so that he could make it to Europe himself.
As soon as the cage opened Lei ran for his life, seeking cover in the Hakuna Jungle. He was confused, alone and lost. The Afrikan jungle was a completely different climate then the mountains of China. Nonetheless he still had a fair chance of surviving: there were plenty of creatures lower on the food-chain then him for him to feast on, and being small and fast would come in convenient in cases of having to flee for predators.
