Personality

If Nina had been born in the Pridelands, she could have been an excellent addition to the pride as a hunter. As it was, Nina was born just outside of the Pride Lands, thus marking her as an Outlander from birth, never opening up the doors to the Pridelands to her. For this, she is bitter toward the Pridelanders. Over the years, bitterness has turned into hate and hate has turned into wishes of their downfall. This led her to Tau and the others who wish to bring about the fall of the Pridelanders.

Besides the intense hatred toward the Pridelanders, she shows great character when it comes to those within her extended family; her Pride. Though they are a simple band of loners and outcasts, they have a common goal, something that binds them together and makes them a family. She would die for those within in her pride. Loving and caring toward them, she can normally be found purring under a dead tree, while watching Tau or the others talking or hunting for food. She is happy with the simple, but hard life, they share. Of course, she would be happier living on Pride Rock, sitting in Kiara's spot with Tau always by her side, but she would happily follow Tau wherever his goals took him.

Just don't cross her. Nina's bitterness has caused her to have a short fuse and a harsh temper. She doesn't take kindly to those who stand in the prides way, nor does she stand for those who try to plot against them, or her. She has staked her claim as Tau's mate and the Head Lioness of their pride and she will have it no other way. Those who fight against her, those who stand against her, or cross her beware; Nina will have vengeance.

Appearance

Nina's pelt is a light, burnt tan hue, with her under parts being a light cream color. The tuff at the end of her tail is a dark brown, while there is a grayish scar on her head where her father trained her. It's just one of the many scars she sports, it's just one of the few that shows past her fur. Due to her wonderful coloration, she blends in well with the horrid conditions in the Outlands. As far as her body is concerned, Nina would have a beautiful figure if it wasn't for the slight thinning she has due to constantly being hungry. She is strong, fast, and built for hunting. With big paws and long legs, she could run down the swiftest prey, given there was more food for her pride.

History

Nina's father was a rouge that happened upon her outcast mother shortly after she had been cast out of the Pridelands for going against Simba. When he had pushed why she had stood up against the King of the Pridelands, Nina's mother simply told him that she didn't agree with allowing an Outlander to rule beside Kiara. Yet, all that had done was make Nina's mother an Outlander. A short time later, Nina was born, along with a brother that didn't make it.

From day one, Nina's mother spoke very highly of Nala and the lioness of Pride Rock, but never highly of the two lions, save for Simba's father, Mufasa. As the young cub, Nina saw very little of her father, but when she turned one and her mother passed away, he showed up a couple of days after she had passed and told Nina to follow him.

Together, the father-daughter pair went deeper into the Outlands. There, Nina's father began training as he would have his son, so fight, to hunt, to kill. He told her things her mother hadn't told her, things about the Pridelanders that she had never known, things they had done to the Outlanders; the lions and lioness that would now be her family. Her father, Wyren, took her to meet other lions and lioness, introducing her to Tau, actually when she was two years old. After that point, Wyren became less of a father and more a mentor, until he passed her on to Tau and disappeared from her life all together.

In the beginning, Nina had never considered becoming Tau's mate. Instead, they had pretty much a shared goal in seeing the Pridelanders fall and they built on that. It wasn't until several months after she became apart of Tau's that they actually became mates. Yet, after nearly two years of fighting, Nina couldn't tell you the basis on what Tau did that made her agree to become his mate. Now, the two stand, ever ready to overthrow the Pridelands. The only question left is wither or not they will succeed.
